Print and Security
Introduction
This group specialises in the evaluation of security
printing products such as e-passports, driver’s licences and
ID cards. It also operates the Pira/APACS printer
qualification service to certify the printer’s ability to print
cheques to the required standard.
We also undertake general assessments of printed
materials to identify the causes of problems in print
production and finishing. We provide independent, unbiased
reports on the quality of printing and finishing.
Specific examples include print fade, abrasion and rub
resistance and bookbinding assessments.
