- Rapid simulation of extended timeframe routes/journeys
- Repeatability of test
- Cost effective assessment
- Ability to capture issues on digital video
- Analysis of performance by digital high speed video
- Simultaneous comparison of number of variants/variables.
Test methods and standards
Pira is well experienced in reviewing client issues and clearly understanding the objectives in order to apply testing in the appropriate way to deliver value and solutions.
Commonly this involves putting together a bespoke testing programme drawing from international standards and more than 50 years of supply chain hazard knowledge built up from field, lab and data recording projects. The team’s knowledge encompasses the range of ISTA, ASTM, ISO, CEN and BSI standards/methods. See our Test Development & Standards page for more information.
For more regulated sectors (pharmaceutical & medical) Pira assists with identifying the relevant standard and how it should be applied prescriptively for FDA, MHRA, MDMA compliance.
Pira is also represented on the CEN and ISO bodies responsible for developing packaging performance standards and Pira’s laboratory is UKAS and ISTA accredited.
